Second Skin Comics LLC Logo

When the comic book company I helped establish as co-creator asked me to create their logo, the writer wanted the logo to be illustrative. I did some design passes/concepts that followed his preferences but also made another set that was more solid and took advantage of the brand name which was made of three words with a total of five syllables. Instead of spelling out the number the first word, I used the visual language for the number "2" instead. It made the logo more visible and recognizable.

Design 4: A step up on visual recognition. Making the name shorter visually is more recognizable and it kind of sticks.

Design 5: I decided to play with the lines by replacing "i" with one of "N"s right leg. My next step now is to find space for "comics".

Design 6: Added the word comics on the right side of the logo.

This was more effective visually and was approved for printing
